John and Nina are very happy because Christmas is coming, while draw the figures of birth, John is telling the story of each character: God made the first birth with real characters and everyone has a story to tell: the donkey gives warmth to the child, the washerwoman helps the virgin, the landlord gives his barn, the shepherd gives his best lamb and kings come from afar to worship him. All have been, in its way, very generous.
Nina realizes she can also enter the birth, to offer the Christ child the greatest gift of all: be generous and obedient, like him.
